Abstract Preparation and Submission Instructions for
Particles 2006
Medical/Biochemical Diagnostic, Pharmaceutical, and Drug Delivery Applications of Particle Technology

Those wishing to submit a contributed oral paper or a poster paper and the invited speakers should complete an abstract form according the the instructions given below.  This form should be prepared as a Word document (IMPORTANT: please name the files by the last name and the first initial of the presenting author, plus a number corresponding to the abstract number if you submit more than 1 abstract; e.g., DebyeP1.doc, DebyeP2.doc), and then e-mail it as an attachment to abstracts@nanoparticles.org by January 31, 2006

If e-mail is not available, the one page abstract form should be sent by fax to 1-585-482-7795 (no cover sheet required), or mailed to Particles 2006, 265 Clover Street, Rochester, New York 14610-2246, USA.

The abstract should not be greater than 300 words in length, should not contain references, should not contain figures, and should not deviate from the format specifications given below.

The abstract submission form should be limited to one page only, and should follow the following format (see link to Word template below):

Use 12 point Times Roman as primary font and single space throughout.
Use 2.5 cm margins at top, left, and right.

Begin on the first line at the left with the TITLE IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS.

On the next available line list authors (first name, initial, last name) and affiliations/addresses minimizing the total space used. The presenting author's name should be in bold.

Skip the first line in the abstract cell space and on the next available line type the abstract text.  Do not include figures in the abstract. Do not include references unless a key focal point of the disclosure.  The abstract should summarize the conclusions of the paper or poster, and not be a vehicle to list publications in the field.

Skip a line.

On successive lines type the following corresponding author contact information:

Street Address
Street Address
City, State, Zip/Postal Code
Country
E-mail address
Telephone
Fax

Skip a line.

If the presenting author is other than the corresponding author, type "Presenting author is:  " and follow with the name of the presenting author and the presenting author's contact information (e-mail, tel., fax).

Skip a line.

If your abstract is for an Oral Invited Paper, Type "Invited Paper". If you prefer poster presentation, type "Poster Preferred". If you prefer Oral presentation over Poseter presentation, type "Oral Preferred". If you will only present via Oral, and will not present if only a poster slot is available, type "Oral Only".

Then -

Send this document by e-mail as an attached file, as described above, or fax or mail if e-mail transmittal is not feasible.

Note, abstracts will be accepted for consideration through January 31, 2006.

Note, in order to minimize program disruptions, final acceptance and inclusion in the printed program is contingent upon meeting registration for speaker or poster presenter being received by 12 April 2006.
